MetalAP
Metal AP builds custom canopies and awnings for homes and businesses across Central Ohio. Their existing Wix site undersold the work: dated design, generic copy, and a lead form that dumped submissions into a dashboard the owner never checked. I designed and built a replacement from scratch: a fast, mobile-first marketing site with a filterable project gallery, and a purpose-built CMS so the owner can manage his own photos without touching code or calling me. The admin is deliberately minimal: a media library, gallery categories, and eight editable page images (hero, about, one per service). Every upload is optimized to WebP before it's stored, so the CDN only ever serves small files. Quote requests arrive as branded HTML email with reply-to wired to the customer, so he answers leads directly from his phone instead of copying addresses between inboxes.

Discovery & Proposal
Audited the client's existing Wix site, mapped the services and content worth keeping, and scoped the rebuild. Delivered a client-facing proposal covering deliverables, timeline, and cost before any code was written.
Design & Build
Designed an industrial visual system — steel greys, structural grid, condensed type, red used strictly as punctuation — and built five responsive pages on Next.js with copywriting tuned for local search intent.
Custom CMS & Content Migration
Built a purpose-built admin so the owner manages his own photos without a developer. Every upload is optimized to WebP before storage, and all 59 existing project photos were migrated and categorized.
Launch & Handover
Registered a new domain to move the client off Wix entirely, deployed to production, and wired quote requests to a branded inbox the owner replies from directly on his phone.
